As of April of 2006, these are the current factoids -- carved in solid limestone, as I'm fickle like that ;)

[ Name ] Purrsia, which is also my Thunderian based online persona. No, that's not my real name and no, I'm not Persian (I've had those kind of questions IMed to me before - don't laugh!). It's a screen name and a play on words. My real first name is Angie, if anyone cares to keep track.
[ Nicknames ] Purrsia or Angie - depends on how you know me I guess. If you're my friend Andi's five-year-old, then I'm "Aunt Gee". Get it? Well, it cracks *us* up!
[ Screen names ] In the ThunderCats and Voltron fandoms, I'm known solely as Purrsia or some variation on the name. In music fandoms, I sometimes go by different screen names that make more sense in those realms.
[ Astrological sign ] Scorpio. Beware my stinger >:)
[ Birthday ] October 29, 1974, so I'm currently 31. I stopped celebrating it in a traditional way years ago, though. Meh.
[ Where I'm From ] Flint, Michigan, USA - home of the giant pot hole.

Looovely Flint, located about 60 miles northwest of Michigan's other shimmering cess pool, Detroit.

[ My home ]We bought this house - a cape cod style house on a double lot - in south Flint in October of 1996. City living is not our ideal, but it's a start. We hope to be able to afford something in a more country setting in the near future -- probably in the more rural neighboring county.
[ Where I'm *originally* from ] The formerly small town of Linden, Michigan - about 20 miles or so southwest of Flint. I've been a life-long Michigander.
[ Places I've Lived ] Well, growing up I lived in the same house in Linden with my parents til I was 19 (my parents, btw, still live there - neighborhood has really changed except for their house!) Then I moved in with my future hubby in Fenton til we bought this house in Flint. So basically, other than my stint in college in western Michigan, I've spent all my life living not only in Michigan, but in Genesee county. I'm so worldy!
[ Family ] I've been happily married for almost 11 years now to Mr. Kat (we wed on 7/15/95). I wasn't even old enough to drink at my own wedding...though that didn't stop me ;)
Hubby's 8 years my senior and therefore cannot comprehend my obsession with ThunderCats. That's the generation gap fer ya. We've got a 8 year old son named Justice. His birthday is March 31st, 1998.
Here's some fun tickers on the subject:

Countdown to our 11 year Wedding Anniversary
Daisypath PicDaisypath Ticker

[ Siblings ] I have two older brothers. Rick is 39, married with 4 kids (2 sons and 2 daughters, ages 20,18,17, and 13). He's actually my half brother (my dad's son from his first marriage) and was friends with my husband back in their high school days so, yeah...small world. Heck, I went to school with my hubby's brother. Intriguing how our paths crossed a few times before we "clicked". Anyway, Rick works in a tool and dye shop, and lives in the neighboring county. My other brother, Randall, I'm much closer in age with (he's 33), and closer to, period. He's not married, but has a daughter and a son from previous relationships (ages 13 and 9). Randall is a plumber and moved to Idaho a few months ago.
[ Photos ] Click here to see some pictures if you must.
[ Current Hair color/length ] Dark brown and naturally curly [or frizzy, depending on the humidity]. I've got a lot of natural red hi-lights when I'm in the sun...but now, I'm getting quite a pronounced Bonnie Raitt-esque gray streak going on with my hair LOL. It's long, too, about halfway down my back. And I don't have any bangs, because they always curl up tight and look plum ridiculous on me anyway -- so I grew 'em out with the rest of my hair. More often than not, I wear my hair twisted atop my head with a giant-ass hair clip.
[ Eye color ] Blue. I do have glasses I wear sometimes, when I need to see far away (yup, I'm near-sighted). Usually just while driving.
[ Height ] 5'6"
[ Weight ] After taking care of some underlying medical issues (namely PCOS - google it), I finally took off most of the post-baby weight after almost a year of eating sensibly and exercising. Online support at LJ has been invaluable, too! Proud to say I'm now in size 4 jeans and weigh just under what I weighed in at for my first OB appointment lo many years ago. I'd still like to lose a few more to make my long term goal of 130, plus have a few buffer pounds to spare. So I'm still working on it.
Here's another fun ticker, though:

[ Shoe size ] 8, usually. My favorite pair of shoes are a black pair of converse all-stars that I've had since high school. They are totally falling apart, as you might imagine. I do have a pink pair that I've had since junior high and painted over with poster paints but my feet were smaller then and they don't fit...I keep them for posterity maybe?
[ Religion ] Though I eschew organized religion, I do believe there is a God and I've read the King James bible. We stopped celebrating traditional christian holidays a few years back, because they're nothing more than glorified pagan rituals that have become so commercialized I want to puke. Bah humbug indeed. For the sake of our son though, we have gotten back into doing a small family christmas exchange and so on.
[ Politics ] I'm a registered independent, but consider my core values conservative to somewhat libertarian -- the less the size of the government and the less they micromanage your life, the better. I've been voting since I turned 18 in 1992. Of course, this doesn't mean I vote for anybody but Republicans. Rather, it's whoever I feel will do the overall best job - or less damage - to the nation. I won't get into any more specifics than that because politics, like religion, is just wank waiting to happen.
[ Occupation ] I'm a full time mama and I homeschool our son. Hubby supports the three of us with his job as a local semi-truck driver for a company in Fenton that makes insulated panes of glass (they're a real pane in the glass...aargh. Bad, I know XD!!) Not that I gave up much in the way of a career to raise him, LOL. Before he came along, I was manager of part of a craft store -- which I actually liked -- but my boss was a fucking Jekyll and Hyde freakshow. Can't say I miss that. Before *that*, I had aspirations of being a photographer. My dark room equipment still languishes to this day in the basement in boxes, hehe. Ah well. Otherwise, I make a little side money from time to time by taking care of other people's kids. I do love the little babies ^_^ And since mine is growing up and we don't plan to have more, it's a golden opportunity to spoil 'em then hand them back to the parents to manage ;)
[ Education ] I graduated from Linden High School (in Linden, Michigan) in June of 1993 with honors (and yes, I went to my 10 year reunion). I went to the Linden school district for the whole K-12 stretch. I was also a total nerd (shocking, right?) and my activities and things included: Quiz Bowl, SADD, National Honor Society - and I made the Who's Who Among American High School Students list, too. Ahoy, I am speshul. Clearly I abandoned my althletic side once I hit high school for the brainier side of things. I cannot do two things at once, I guess. I was also on the school newspaper and voted in our mock elections as the most artistic girl. I didn't have much competition...
Seriously, though, although I wasn't popular in high school or anything, I didn't mind it. I've never been the type to let peripheral bullshit bother me. I just did my own thing and had fun for the most part. Good times!
I managed to finish one year of college at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI, as an Art/Photography major - not that it shows, I'm sure! I just might go back someday and finish what I started - dropping out wasn't my smartest move. I'm smarter than I act, that's for certain!
[ My vehicle ] We sold my classic 71 Buick in the summer of 05, and I've been driving a 98 Jeep Cherokee for the last few months.
[ My best friend ] That would have to be Andrea. We've been pals since we met in the fifth grade (just hit 20 years last fall, holy moses!), we both have a really strange sense of humor, and we've stuck by each other through thick and thin. She's a nurse and darn near became a mid-wife til her daughter arrived and derailed that little plan. She's also the mom of 1-year-old fraternal twin boys - too cute, but boy...two is *more* than twice the work of one. I know because I've sat them for her a time or two. Dang.
[ Pets ] None at the moment, and thank god. I'm sick of cleaning up after things!
[ Interesting sidenotes ] I was licensed to carry a concealed weapon three years ago and I'm currently going through the fun of the renewal process. I'm packin' deh heat, baby! My weapon is a .357 Magnum -- I'm not too shabby with it as long as it's close range. I prefer to shoot a .22 rifle for accuracy over distance, but that's not exactly concealable. Ah well ;) I used to be in the NRA, but I got lazy and let my membership lapse. Plus like a lot of lobbyist groups, they end up being more of a pain and too full of shit to be worth bothering with.

[ How long I've been a ThunderCat enthusiast ] I'm a first generation fan....I was 11 in 1985 when Tcats had it's first run. By the way, every single person I know in real life thinks I'm totally insane for building my web site on the matter and writing fan fic for it LOL. So what did I do? Got into another 80s oldie, Voltron, and repeated bizarre habits. Take that! ha.
Click here to view the story of how I came to adore Tcats and what inspired me to write fic, as well as a list of Tcat stuff I saved from my youth.
[ Fave quote from Tcats ] From "the Shifter":
Panthro (while trapped in Snarf's body): I'm going to teach you mutants a lesson!
Vultureman: You couldn't teach us to knit!
[ Fave Tcat Episode ] "The Mountain"....Pure perfection!
[ Fave Tcat Character ] Lion-O. Duh.
[ How long I've been a Voltron enthusiast ] Same as tcats basically, starting from when I was a kid and rekindling later with reruns and internet. I used to have a puny LV tribute when I started my tcats page, but a year or two ago, moved that and added a VV portion and expanded the whole thing. It probably will never grow to the proportions my tcats site did, but it's a nice little spot to stow all my little files and fan things for that show and allows others to share theirs as well. See my site collective page for links to that.
[ Fave Voltron Character ] I favor Vehicle Voltron slightly over the Lion one, so basically anyone from that show.
[ My computer's current desktop theme ] Behold, another VV wallpaper made by Omicron. Beats the one I made with a stick so it's now my desktop!

[ Online ] Been online since early 2001, and got sucked into fandom and 80s nostalgia quickly. Taught myself html and now you're cursed with stuff like this I've put all over the internet. Bwahaha!! I've made many friends via the internet (and a few enemies I bet!), so it's been a very worthwhile venture. Luckily it's been more positive an experience than an annoyance. Although I have to say, sometimes the st00pid volume apparent on the net makes me weep for humanity anew. Good grief.
[ Computer ] We're cheap...we've usually gone with emachines. This is our second desktop PC. This one's a few years old and has the AMD athlon processor. A friend was kind enough to give me some more RAM and an external DVD burner drive, in addition to the rom, cd-rewrite and floppy drives it came with. It's very handy and can handle most of what I want to do on here without too much trouble. I would like to get a flat panel monitor and new keyboard/mouse for it soon rather than buy a whole new system (keyboard is getting worn as is the mouse...and it'd just be nice not to have the screen in my face). Been thinking about upping the HD space, too. I've got over half the current 60GB one full.
I've also got an ancient IBM thinkpad laptop. It's not good for much other than running Word - the battery doesn't even hold a charge. But that's ok. I got it so I can still work on fan fiction away from home or when this PC is otherwise occupied.
[ MP3 Player of choice ] iTunes for Windows. I recently started re-ripping my music so it's at the best quality I can make it. Takes up a lot of space, though. Nice thing is it's really easy to make CD-quality mix discs now. And yes, most of my music is legit - ripped from my collection and some of it bought from iTunes' store. Ok, though I admit...I've gotten the stray tune from P2P programs. Shhh, don't tell anyone!
[ My Favorite Time of Year ] Summer
[ Fave time of day and why ] Late night. I'm a nite owl, but I've curbed those ways quite a bit lately. A kid seems to hamper sleeping in too late!
[ My beverage of choice ] I do still occassionally drink beer, but lately I've been into V8 Juice or green tea. Yay for health kicks.

[ Favorite Food ] Chinese food.
[ The best book I ever read ] I read this book on Nostradamus that was rather interesting...it explained how he BS'ed his way through all those predictions! Basically, he was the patriarch of the Psychic Network, heehee.
[ My fave movie ] Any comedy will do, really :-) Also, Dark Crystal and The Secret of Nihm have a special place in my heart.
[ Fave TV shows ] Of current prime time kind of things...I like the L&Os, the CSIs, ER, Medium, and various other ghostie or real life unsolved crime/mystery shows.
As for the animated variety....Tcats and Voltron goes without saying. I also dig MOTU and have a site on that I never ever update ;)
[ My favorite band ] Overall, I have some pretty weird taste in music -- it's eclectic and all over the place - a bit o' this 'n that...rock, pop, college rock, metal, novelty...it's all good.
Click here to go to my music page, where you'll find out more than you ever cared to know about the tunes I dig, plus concert reviews.
[ Famous people I've met ] Well, I've met the U.S. southern rock band, drivin n cryin, 2 times (they're kinda famous I guess -- they did have a video on MTV once, lol). I also met Bob Mould, of Husker Du and Sugar "fame", when he played in Royal Oak a few years ago. Ok, so he had a video on MTV once, too LOL. Fuck it, the answer to this question is NO! ;)
[ The first record I ever owned ] I shared Def Leppard's Pyromania platter with my brother at the tender age of 8.
[ Best live band I ever did see ] I'd have to call this one a tie between the Drivin n Cryin shows I've attended and the pair of Sugar concerts I went to...wow!
[ If I could live anywhere I wanted...] ...it'd be somewhere southern and therefore warmer... to quote Snarf, "I'm too close to the ground to enjoy snow"...heh heh
[ Favorite places I vacationed/visited ] I was really impressed by Toronto. Also, Northern Michigan is simply beautiful.
[ My fave leisure time activity ] Drawing or doing crosswords is my idear of offline leisure time fun (I hear you all yawning now, hah). I also like arts and crafts, including home decorating. I enjoy taking old furniture and refinishing it with all sorts of paints, papers and crafts. I also love to go shopping, especially at thrift stores for interesting finds in both housewares and clothes.
Online, I like to write, work on building websites, and chat with people. I play the occassional game of Literati or Text Twist at Yahoo, too.
[ Fave sport ] basketball (haven't followed pro or college in years, but I used to play in school and still like to play) and nascar racing
[ My fave subject in school ] chemistry (in high school) and psychology/biology (in college) ...makes perfect sense for an art major! Sure it does!
[ My best childhood memory ] Spending time on the lakes near my childhood home and swimming all day.
[ If I could have but one wish granted, it would be - ] - to erase taxes off the face of the earth!!! Damn that taxman ;)
[ My fave website to visit ] Thundercats or Voltron sites/boards.
[ Under my bed right now...] ...I have an entire warren of dust bunnies...they're so cute! And a plastic tub full of shoes.
[ Thunderstorms ] I don't fancy these storms at all. Yikes. I freak out, especially if there's any tornadic activity!
[ My favorite board game ] Scrabble. Oh, and Scattergories is a hoot. Get the idea that I like word games?
[ First thing in the morning, I - ] - roll over and try to forget it's the lousy morning, haha.
[ Magazines I have subscriptions to ] I've got Reader's Digest, People (gotta have at least one gossip rag!)
[ The best feeling in the world is... ] Might sound weird, but carrying my son was a grand experience. Some women hate being pregnant, but I rather enjoyed it, despite some hideous sickness; probably ties in with my whole genetics hang-up
[ The worst feeling in the world is... ] That feeling you get right after you step in a pile of doggie doo in yer bare feet. Ugh!
[ I'm afraid of - ] Heights, bees and spiders. Gah. So I guess falling off a sky scraper with a swarm of pissed hornets in pursuit and landing on a spider would be the acme of my fears lol.
[ Fave Quotes ] "The world can be divided into 2 groups: A) those who believe the world can be divided into 2 groups, and B) those who don't" -- unknown

"I feel like I been shot at and missed but shit at and hit." -- from those Silverhawks outtakes

"Naughty Panthro, deadlier than cheese." -- from an OOC comment Red Lioness made in the OTRPG. Not sure what it really means, but I must have giggled for a full ten minutes!
[ Fave Color ] Black
[ Fave Animal ] Cats -- lions to be specific (omg!fangirl :-P)
[ Fave Flower ] Daisies.
[ Fave Scent ] Lilacs.

Viva teh Hate!1!!!!!1!
Die, asshats, die!

[ Pet Peeves ] Trolls, fantards, bandwidth/content theives, and online perverts is a big one. Irrational people or people who can't admit they're wrong also chap me. Lastly, having to repeat myself drives me insane.
[ Hated foods ] Liver, black licorice. Ugh. And, damn, I hate grapes -- biting one is like chewing an eyeball -- ewwwwwwwwww!! Raisins are hated by association.
[ Political Irritants ] Anyone who's on either far end of the spectrum -- far right and far left people need to seriously fuck off. Sometimes moderates piss me off, too. They tend to be indecisive and non-committal, which is just lame.
[ Loathed Clothing ] High heels and underwire bras. What was the sadistic fuck who created those items thinking? Butt-floss undies are out, too.
[ Ear Hemmoraging Music ] I like most music, but current bubble gum pop and boy bands make me want to go on an eye-popping rampage with a hot fork. Most rap sucks, too, in my opinion. Sorry, just can't dig it. People who hit you over the head with political or religious dogma when they sing also make me roll my eyes. Sing and leave the saving the world to someone else, plz k thx.
[ Fandom Annoyances ] Not just in the Tcat fandom, but in other realms - be they television, music, movie based - there exist haughty "fan boys" who wallow in the minutae of the media in question. Mind you, I like to debate theory and trivia, but damn...being a hyperventalating snot about it just broadcasts to the world that you, fan boy, have no life. Argh. Like in music realms, for instance, there's always the one forum member who has superior musical tastes, revels in obscure crap, and pooh-poohs your taste as "quaint" at best. Die, fan boy, die.
[ Annoying Tech ] Being pretty much a bumbling idiot behind the keyboard when it comes to techie stuff, this encompasses a lot! HTML still gives me headaches, for instance. Don't even get me started on php or databases...
[ Irksome Email ] Spam, of course, and chain letters. But besides the obvious, I also get annoyed at mail from my fan sites which makes it obvious the sender didn't bother to read FAQs or other relevant info available on-site first. Or they're doing weird stuff like yelling at me cuz Wal-Mart is out of stock with the new Thundercats dvd as if I can actually do something about that. Ugh.
Can I be a total beligerent pain in the ass? Of course. But I'd like to think people earn that.
